Part-Time Business Operations Associate (Temporary) Job Description
The Jung Center – Houston, TX Temporary Part-Time April - August (Approx. 30 hours per week)
The Jung Center is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Business Operations Associate to support our financial processing, educational programming, and database management. This temporary role (approximately 30 hours per week) is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative systems, assisting with customer service, and ensuring operational excellence in a nonprofit organization.
This position works closely with the Director of Operations and plays a key role in supporting timely transaction record keeping, monthly financial closing procedures, donors, members, program participants, and scholarship recipients.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Processing & Bookkeeping Support
- Download and organize credit card deposit reports
- Process ACH deposits and record transactions
- Scan, categorize, and record incoming checks in database
- Match check deposits with CRM records
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for deposits and supporting documents
Database Management (Neon CRM)
- Merge duplicate accounts
- Record and process donations payments, including pledge payments and grants
- Record and process memberships payments
- Provide administrative support for grants
- Reconcile tribute and matching donations
- Create new individual and household accounts
- Maintain accurate payment records and tender types
- Provide administrative support for grants
Event & Registration Support
- Maintain accuracy of event records and payment details
- Process event registrations in CRM
- Run weekly registration reports for instructor honorariums
- Prepare and upload payment documentation to internal systems
- Process refunds for cancelled classes
- Assist with scholarship registrations (full and partial awards)
- Register staff and instructors for events
New Semester Procedures
- Assist with QuickBooks event code preparation
- Support mapping of programs in QuickBooks sync
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working with databases and spreadsheets
- Experience with CRM systems
- Basic bookkeeping or financial processing experience preferred
- Ability to follow established procedures consistently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial and donor information responsibly
Preferred Skills
- Experience in nonprofit administration
- Comfort managing digital files and shared drives
- Ability to work independently and manage recurring deadlines

Schedule & Compensation
- Approximately 30 hours per week, on-site with preferred availability Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings
- Temporary part-time position
- Hourly compensation commensurate with experience
