Free film screening of The Tree of Life Friday, May 4 at 7 pm.

Explore the eternal paradox in our movement between, as Jung wrote, "the infinitely personal and universal view of life" in this workshop and free screening of Terrence Malick's award-winning film, The Tree of Life. Using the film as a guide, we will reflect on our own understanding of, and orientation to, this paradox. Through lecture, discussion, and exercises we will consider aspects of the terrifying and awe-inspiring realities of our individual walk through the luminous, mysterious, and heartbreaking experience of being alive. Students may choose to bring a journal (writing materials will be available if needed).

Diana Heritage, LCSW, Jungian analyst, holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Houston and is a graduate of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. She has been in private practice in Houston since 1993.
