Lecture:
Snapshots of the Dream House

Thursday, February 16
5:45-7:15 pm
Where do we live in our dreams, and what can that tell us? Personal, intimate, and expressive of who we most consciously are, the house is also unconscious, impersonal, and collective—we rarely build our own houses, and dream houses are built by an even more curious and mysterious crew. Strange conglomerations of houses present, past, and fanciful are common. We come upon rooms we never knew existed and glimpse fearful, dark places that are hangouts for the unknown and the unwelcome. In this lecture, we will introduce the idea that our dream houses are the microcosms of our macrocosm, representations of the psyche as a whole, and that we can gain valuable insight by exploring them consciously.

Workshop:
A Full Tour of the Dream House

Saturday, March 3
10 am - 4 pm (1 hour break for lunch)
Engage with the symbol of the house in a deeper way, as we explore and amplify the houses we encounter in current and historic dreams, as well as those collective houses that present themselves in fiction and film. The dream house can be a barometer of how our conscious standpoint, the ego, is able to host the demands of the Self as it pushes in at the borders of our consciousness, commanding a broader, more inclusive perspective and life lived in greater alignment with its designs.
