Explore the body's energetic dimension in two in-depth, experiential workshops. In the Tibetan Bon tradition, well being involves a holisitic sense of wellness that encompasses body, energy, and mind. The subtle body (a concept common to many traditions) includes channels, the vital breath (lung, prana, or qi) that circulates through them, and the subtle aspects of the mind that guide the vital breath.

Participants will learn meditative techniques from the ancient Bon Mother Tantra, a tradition that provides many different meditative techniques for healing and enlightenment. These techniques bring together the mind and the vital breath, supported by specific body movements called Tsa lung ("channels and vital breath" practices) and work with one's energetic centers (chakras) to provide a sense of embodied meditation. Tsa lung movements relate to the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) and can help to remove physical, mental, and energetic blocks. By achieving a relaxed, yet aware, state of mind, one can connect to one's inner wisdom and potential and embrace a healthier lifestyle.

In the second session, participants will use these movements to learn deeper ways of connecting to their subtle bodies. We will breathe through each of the chakras and learn how each also relate to the five movement of the breath in the Tibetan medical tradition. We will also visualize the subtlest aspect of vital breath, light.
