The second day of each two-part class is an opportunity to work more deeply with the material presented in the first session. Students must attend the first class to attend the second in each two day sequence.
Shift your awareness and deepen your understanding of the body during this two-session class. For over forty years, Continuum Movement has re-visioned the body as an ongoing, ever-changing process rather than as a fixed structure. The fluid elements of our anatomy—our blood, lymph, and cerebrospinal fluids—are key aspects of our health and adaptability. Through the use of breath, sound and intention, we invoke the flowing forms found in nature. By attending to the subtle rhythms of our inner being, we develop our ability to move with more fluid ease and engage our world with renewed openness and clarity.
Dress comfortably. We will be lying on the floor part of the time, so bring a mat or blanket for extra padding. Continuum Movement is suitable for all fitness levels.
