Description  
 

Explore your life as a modern woman with the guidance of Katha Pollitt, who has been described as one of our most profound cultural observers. We'll write from her foibles, wisdom and honest observation of human nature. There will be both in-class and take-home assignments. The class is ongoing, and students may join either or both sessions.

  Sandi Stromberg, MA, is an award-winning poet and magazine feature writer. Her poetry has recently been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in the Houston Poetry Fest Anthologies of 2004, 2006, 2007, The Weight of Addition: An Anthology of Texas Poetry, TimeSlice: Houston Poetry 2005 and Illya's Honey, among others. The intent of her classes is to help women access the stories they have to tell. She is program manager of external publications at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
