Jun 11 - Jul 2
$75 ($65 Jung Center members)
Explore the powerful unacknowledged truths in the bond between women through hearing and telling stories. In each class, the instructor will tell a sister story: Cinderella, Psyche and Amor as well as others taken from modern literature, movies, fairytales and myth. We will discuss and explore the meaning of each story in relation to sistering, whether biological, social, or in our relationship with ourselves. We will tell our own sister stories through journaling activities and expressive arts.
Alice Metcalf has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston. She studied Gestalt therapy for 5 years and Jungian theory for more than 20 years. She uses Gestalt, Jungian psychology and expressive arts therapy in her work with individuals and groups.
