What Got Into Me?

Just what is a complex? What do we gain by exploring our complexes? Jung described a complex as the dynamic interaction of personal psyche with collective or archetypal energies. We often say "I'm in a complex;" in reality, the complex is "in" us, and is often experienced as a force that wreaks havoc in our life. In this class, we will explore how complexes develop and how to understand their "complexity," as a means of furthering our ability to consciously relate to archetypal energies seeking expression in our individual lives.
Anne Strain, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice and a candidate-in-training to become a Jungian analyst in the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts.
