Re-Imagining Our Love Relationships with Myth and Storytelling
Alice Metcalf, LMSW
Thursdays, 5:45 - 7:15 pm
Apr 8 - Apr 29
$75 ($65 Jung Center members)
What stories are we living out in our romantic relationships? In this class, we will explore ancient myths of romantic love, and through them we will look for the threads of the sacred that have the potential to lead us to wholeness. We will encounter the stories of Hera and Zeus, Ariadne and Dionysus, Psyche and Amor, and others. In each of these stories and in our own lives we will look at how the feminine needs to be honored, how the wounded masculine needs to be healed, and the ways we all can grow.
Alice Metcalf has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston. She studied Gestalt therapy for 5 years and Jungian theory for more than 20 years. She uses Gestalt, Jungian psychology and expressive arts therapy in her work with individuals and groups.
